SkyWave is a leading supplier of Inmarsat D+ terminals and service. Our company provides global asset tracking, monitoring and control solutions over land, sea or air using Inmarsat's low cost SMS, global satellite service (D+).
SkyWave designs D+ terminals and provides Internet based data-message services. The SkyWave terminal supports 2-way communication through SkyWave's D+ terrestrial satellite communication hub. SkyWave leverages the global reach of Inmarsats satellite constellation and the Internet to provide seamless communication with SkyWave terminals directly from desktops or server based applications.

A little bit about the role:
SkyWave currently has an opening for a Vice President, Marketing. The successful incumbent will be responsible for the management and implementation of SkyWaves complete marketing objectives, plans and programs for all products and services. This will include the design and development of an indirect channel management program which will create market awareness, demand and preference for SkyWave and our products and services. This will be done through the development, maintenance and advancement of strategic relationships with constituencies. The successful incumbent will also be responsible for lead generation and market penetration including detailed plans and execution of such programs. Further, they will be responsible to conduct and analyze competitive and customer market research studies pertaining to our products and services to define market needs and drive the development strategy.
The successful incumbent has experience in all of the above areas while in senior marketing positions in technology companies. They will need a clear understanding of technology issues and concepts as they would relate to SkyWave and our industry. Superior organizational skills and outstanding communication skills are a must. Candidates are also required to have outstanding orientation to details as this is a high impact and high profile position within our organization. Flexibility to travel internationally is required. Preference will be given to candidates with international and telecommunications/telematics experience.
