Education
Useful Information
Post-secondary diploma in business and arts administration, communications, public relations or the equivalent.

Experience
Extensive professional experience in working in communications, public and media relations, development/fundraising, event management and sponsorship or equivalent.

Experience of applicable computer programs such as: Raisers' Edge, WordPerfect and Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

Challenge
Reporting directly to the President and Chief Executive Officer, the Chief, Donor and External Relations is responsible for the planning, management and execution of all aspects of the Donor Relations and Stewardship Programmes. In this function, the Chief will also manage the Foundation’s recognition activities and events, and oversee and implement the external relations programme for the Foundation.

The Chief contributes to the overall achievement of annual and long-term goals of the National Gallery of Canada Foundation for securing private support, working in close collaboration with the Foundation team as well as being the liaison between the Public Affairs team of the National Gallery and the Foundation.

The National Gallery of Canada is responsible for the security clearance process.
