YOUR CHALLENGE
Reporting directly to the President and Chief Executive Officer, the Chief, Donor and External Relations is responsible for the planning, management and execution of all aspects of the Donor Relations and Stewardship Programmes. In this function, the Chief will also manage the Foundation’s recognition activities and events and, oversee and implement the external relations programme for the Foundation.
The Chief contributes to the overall achievement of annual and long-term goals of the National Gallery of Canada Foundation for securing private support, working in close collaboration with the Foundation team as well as being the liaison between the Public Affairs team of the National Gallery and the Foundation
As the ideal candidate you have extensive professional experience in working in Communications, Public and Media Relations, Development/Fundraising, Events Management and Sponsorship or equivalent. You also have thorough knowledge of applicable computer programs such as; Raisers’ Edge, WordPerfect and Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. We are looking for an individual who possesses the following skills and abilities: a demonstrated ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously, excellent written and verbal communication skills and superior interpersonal skills, proactive approach to work and creative thinking.
Knowledge of English and French is essential (CCC/CCC), as is an enhanced reliability check.
Salary will be determined upon candidate qualifications.
