Job DescriptionDescription:HÔPITAL NOTRE-DAME HOSPITALCHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICERHEARST, ONThe Board of Directors is seeking the services of a qualified professional to lead the hospital in the future.Hearst, a lumbering and tourist area, is a predominantly French speaking community of Northern Ontario on the Trans Canada Highway.Hôpital Notre-Dame Hospital is a modern forty-four (44) bed facility, with twenty-three (23) acute care beds and twenty-one (21) long-term care beds. The hospital offers a wide range of services consistent with a health care centre in a rural and northern setting. The total annual budget for the hospital and associated programmes including the management of a 65 bed nursing home is approximately $18M.The new Chief Executive Officer will report to the Board of Directors and be accountable for all aspects of the hospital’s operation as per the Public Hospitals Act.The ability to communicate effectively in English and in French is required as the position of Chief Executive Officer at Hôpital Notre-Dame Hospital is designated under the French Language Services Act. The ideal candidate will hold a Master’s Degree in Administration, or similar degree and will possess excellent interpersonal skills and proven experience at the senior management level.The hospital is an equal opportunity employer.
